On my school’s term break, my family and I went to Singapore and Bandung. I was really longing for this break. The holiday was for us to travel, relax, and mostly meet and connect with my family. I truly had fun in this holiday, especially when I got to see all my family members. 

Our first destination was Singapore. My family and I flew with Singapore Airlines. We flew at 11:15 AM and arrived at 14:00 PM. Ice Magic was the greatest place we went to while we were in Singapore. Ice Magic was like an ice land, where we had to use puffer jackets, because there was snow and ice everywhere. There were slides, igloos, merry-go-round on ice, and many more fun things. The slide made of ice was my favorite ride. But, there was a frightening ride using something similar to a swimming ring on snow. I was extremely scared and regretted it. Nevertheless, Ice Magic is an amusing place where you can enjoy every moment with your family.

Afterwards, the real whole family reunion happened when we took a swift train called Whoosh to Bandung. Whenever there is an announcement, and one of the train crew says, “Salam, whoosh whoosh whoosh, yes!” Most of my family members scream, “Yes!” Now, we always say, “Yes!” whenever there is an announcement on the train. In Bandung, we went Bandung Zoo and, Kampung Daun. When we went to the Bandung Zoo, there were many animals and attractions. Even though toilets were dirty, there was mud in some areas, and it was wet. I learned that sometimes, we need to face the small issues. Regardless of the tiny problems, we saw many animals, orangutans, lions, giraffes, and much more. In Kampung Daun, we celebrated my uncle’s and auntie’s anniversary. Kampung Daun was a very beautiful place filled with nature and bunnies. In Bandung, I was in joy to see all my family members together as one.

After the trip to Singapore and Bandung, we all went back to Jakarta. When we were in Jakarta, the monkey bar my grandparents made were finally finished! I could finally swing on that monkey bar just like in playgrounds. My cousins and I had lots of fun swinging on the monkey bar. On December 30, we celebrated my sister’s 8^th birthday, at Buumi Plaza Senayan. Our family and friends were welcomed and invited. To end our term break, my mom, auntie, cousins, sister, and I went ice skating at Mall Taman Anggrek. The skating rink was very crowded, and some people were skating crazily and rapidly, without looking at their surroundings. So, I almost got crashed by someone who fell. Nonetheless, that ice skating session was a blast! We ended up the mall visit by eating dinner at Pepper Lunch.

I am very grateful to have a large family, that makes this break a memorable holiday. I enjoyed meeting all my cousins, especially the ones who are long-distanced. I finally experienced my grandma’s hometown after many years. I learned that sometimes, you should not worry about the small problems, such as, mud, heavy rain, etc. I hope I can revisit these places many more times in the future. Liburan ini adalah salah satu liburan yang terbaik!
