Heir to Honour

💫 Our Story

We all know that integrity is very important. It’s the only inheritance that lasts. As students, we aim to develop our character through our BINUS SPIRIT values. One of the most important is integrity, because it helps us make the right choices, even when no one is watching. In this story, we want to share why this value means so much to us.

At BINUS School Simprug, integrity helps our community stay safe and fair. Without it, there could be lies, accidents, and unfair actions. Even in a world full of challenges, we believe that showing integrity can make a difference. We sometimes ask ourselves: Why do some people choose not to be honest? Why steal when you gain nothing? We realised that people who do not act with integrity often lose trust and respect from others.

Integrity means doing what is right, being honest, and staying true to your values. It’s about telling the truth, keeping promises, and taking responsibility for your actions. It also means being respectful, reliable, and fair. For example, we can show integrity by admitting our mistakes, returning lost items, and speaking up when we see something wrong.

When we practise integrity, we grow stronger inside. It helps us build a moral compass that points us in the right direction, even when it’s hard. It builds trust with our teachers, friends, and families. It also helps us feel proud of who we are because we know we are doing the right thing.

Integrity doesn’t happen overnight. It grows as we make good choices each day. We can start small, like keeping our word, being truthful, or helping others. These small actions make integrity part of who we are.

Having integrity isn’t always easy. Sometimes it means taking the harder path, but we know that being honest and doing what’s right helps us become principled and caring people.

When we live with integrity, we live with honour.

💭 Reflect and Connect

As you think about their story, ask yourself:
When was a time you showed integrity, even when it was difficult?
